Planetary Scientist Leading the Development of a Universal Planetary Simulator
I am currently employed by the University of Southampton as an Associate Professor in Earth and Exoplanet Climatology. My scientific research interests are focused on the theory and development of numerical models for the study of dynamics and climate of planetary atmospheres. Before joining the University of Southampton, I worked at the Technical University of Denmark as a Senior Researcher, at the Niels Bohr Institute of the University of Copenhagen as an Assistant Professor, in the Exoplanet Exoclimes Group (EEG) at the University of Bern as a Post-Doctoral researcher and obtained my PhD in the Geophysical and Planetary Fluid Dynamics group at the University of Oxford.
I am Portuguese, from a small town called Vidigueira. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, exploring mountains, playing/watching football games, watching movies, and playing age of Empires III with Sandra.
